CLAP LOGO SYMBOLISM:

COLORS:

 

Blue- is the color of the sea and the sky, and is often associated with depth and stability. It symbolizes trust, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, and truth. The blue color is also used to represent expertise, knowledge, and integrity.

 

Green- connotes growth, hope, peace, harmony, and endurance.

Yellow- indicates honor and loyalty; intellect and energy.

 

White- symbolizes goodness, purity, humility, faith, and sincerity, and successful beginnings.

 

Black- is associated with power, elegance, and connotes strength and authority.

ICONS:

 

Customs Bureau Building-as Customs Brokers, CLAPPERS will be dealing with the Bureau of Customs (BOC) for most of their entire professional life. We hope that our beloved CLAPPERS will always follow and adhere to the Code of Ethics of this noble profession: COMPETENCE, RESPECT, INTEGRITY, JUSTICE, and FAIRNESS.

 

Boat or Ship- this is the most common mode of transport for international trade. In its deeper meaning, crossing the sea by boat is being symbolic of making the journey across life. We hope our beloved CLAPPERS will ride that boat with confidence and faith, and make such journey a success, whether in their faith, in their education and in their vocation.

 

Airplane- this is also used as another mode of transport in trade and business in this age of globalization. It is a powerful symbol of change. Flight gives us a feeling of freedom and liberty. This icon symbolizes the desires one has, and how to reach the targets he has set for himself. We hope our beloved CLAPPERS will fulfill and achieve the goals and expectations they have set for themselves.

 

Sea lions- guard the coffers of the government through the Department of Finance, the primary agency which raises revenues needed to cover its expenditures.  The sea lions also represent the islands of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. The left sea lion specifically represents the values of scholarship, honest service and leadership. The right sea lion on the other hand, represents the values of excellence and perseverance. We hope our beloved CLAPPERS will persevere in their review, training, and service, thus providing the Philippines with the much needed leaders with competence and integrity.

 

Torch- represents the ability of each of us to serve as a guiding light for others and for the ability of education as beacon of light in eradicating ignorance, prejudice and bigotry. Further, the torch represents our shared commitment to integrity.  We hope our beloved CLAPPERS will always remember that light as the way for others, and thus, brighten the path for themselves.

Laurel- is an ancient symbol of academic distinction, achievement, and excellence to remind our beloved CLAPPERS that they have become a part of a long and noble tradition of distinguished and outstanding scholars, top-notch reviewees,  examinees, trainees  and future Customs Brokers. We hope our beloved CLAPPERS will uphold their place in history by living up to the honor and distinction bestowed upon them.

Circles- the double circles represent the support and guidance that surrounds CLAP, including their family, friends, lecturers, and other members of the Customs Broker profession. We hope our beloved CLAPPERS will recognize and appreciate their support, encouragement, and assistance; thus inspiring them to serve in that noble capacity for others.

 

Rope or Cord- represents inner wisdom and great knowledge. It connotes strength and conjunction; the ties that bind or a strong connection with each other. It serves as a strong anchor in life. We hope our beloved CLAPPERS will always keep the deep ties they have with each other, in CLAP and in the Customs Brokers profession.
